Spend a few moments with Murray, and you’ll see what a quick-thinking and world-wise person he is. 


Working overseas and in war zones taught Murray to consider all risks and find every opportunity to create win-win situations. 


Murray worked for 7 years with the United Nations (UN), arranging all the contract, lodging and ground transport in mission areas like Yugoslavia and Africa. Murray grew his expertise by managing the logistics, security and safety of thousands of people and equipment in risky situations.


Murray then worked for multinational corporations, government agencies and service providers in Canada and abroad to grow contract revenue, improve performance and ensure multi-million dollar projects were successful and profitable. Murray was working for a civilian service company supporting the Department of National Defense in Kabul, Afghanistan, when he met Carla in 2004.


After several years working as a manager of logistics in the Canadian oilfield, Murray and Carla launched IGY6 Consulting to help mid-sized businesses thrive in a highly-competitive market.

Don’t let Carla’s easy smile and good nature fool you for too long. She’s a master at managing multiple stakeholders and projects, and will kindly, but firmly, let you know what’s needed and when.


Carla has an incredible pedigree with business communications and writing. She worked for several years with Canada’s largest engineering firm, developing standard operating procedures, budgeting, planning and managing proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs. She managed communications in Canada and to teams deployed abroad.


Carla also spent several years in Bosnia and Afghanistan managing accommodations and logistics with a civilian service company contracted to the Canadian Forces Peacekeeping Missions. 

It was here where she met Murray. 


For 10+ years, Carla has run a successful communications consulting and photography business. She’s supported numerous clients with print and web content, presentation materials and managing proposal submissions from 25 pages to 2,500 pages!
